The year 2024 displays the further expansion of the WPC Series.

In the close cooperation with several partners in Asia and Australia, the WPC SERIES ASIA PACIFIC has been introduced to the players of all ages and skills.

This competition is open to the players of nearly all ages (19+, 35+, 50+ and 60+) and skills (3.5, 4.5 and 5.0+).
All players will get their GPR ranking points from each event they will compete in.

The players competing in the 5.0 skill level will receive ranking points also to so called "RACE TO CARMELINA" ranking giving the chance for the top 20 players/teams to qualify automatically to the WPC FINALS that will be held in January 2025 at the Carmelina Beach Resort in Vietnam.

The WPC SERIES - ASIA PACIFIC FINALS will happen on January 14-19 in Carmelina Beach resort Vietnam.

In close cooperation with the number of countries in Europe, we are honored to announce the second leg of the WPC SERIES - the European circuit.

Similarly to WPC SERIES ASIA PACIFIC, also 2024 WPC SERIES EUROPE will be open to the players of all ages and skills. All players will again collect the ranking points into the general GPR rankings, and again the players competing in the 5.0+ skill level will get the points towards the 2024 WPC SERIES EUROPE FINALS (also known as European Pickleball Open).

The 2024 WPC SERIES EUROPE will have 4 stops this year and will start in the EU capital of beautiful Brussels with the Belgian Open July 26-28. Next stop is the Hungarian Open August 16-18 taking place just south of legendary tourist attraction Budapest. The subsequent weekend of August 23-25 JOOLA Sweden Open is taking place in Helsingborg at the strait of Öresund were travelling through Copenhagen is probably your best option. The series then finishes up outside of picturesque city Krakow with JOOLA Polish Open September 6-8.

Based on their WPC SERIES EUROPE 2024 RACE ranking, top 16 players/teams will be invited to the WPC EUROPE FINALS (also known as 2024 EUROPEAN PICKLEBALL OPEN), with top 4 players/teams offered a FREE registration.

The date and the place of the 2024 WPC SERIES EUROPE FINALS, also known as EUROPEAN PICKLEBALL OPEN, will be announced soon.

WPC MASTERS, that will be held in March 2025 in the city of Shanghai, China and will bring together the best players from 3 continents - Asia, Australia, and Europe based on their performance at the WPC SERIES events.

As already mentioned before, the best players from Asia, Australia and Europe based on their performance at the WPC SERIES events will meet for the final show!

How does the GPR ranking work in general:

1. On the contrary of any rating system, GPR does not punish players for any lost matches, so the players can play free of any stress.

2. GPR ranking points in general are received ONLY for the matches won and the total of GPR ranking points depends on:

• tier level of the tournament (the tier 1 being the least important and tier 5 being the most important event)
• skill level of the competition (win in the open/elite level of 5.0+ will give you more points than the win in the advanced level of 4.0)
• size of the draw (the larger draws will give the players more matches, and more wins and more points)

Top 4 players will also receive "bonus points" to appreciate more their successful performance.

3. GPR points are age based. We believe in the equal opportunity of the competition for all age groups, not only for the best ones in 19+ age, but also in 35+,50+ and 60+ age groups. Pickleball was created as a great idea of offering the sport to all people regardless of their age limitations. Unfortunately, with the current development, it is becoming evident that age categories are needed again. Our goal is to bring back a meaningful competition for all ages. While it may take some time in some regions to embrace this opportunity to compete on a "friendly age level", it is our plan to deliver a meaningful competition to all players.

How is 2024 WPC SERIES RACE different:

While the players in all 2024 WPC SERIES events will have the option to play in more skill levels and get their ranking points to the general GPR rankings, ONLY the players competing in the OPEN/ELITE (5.0+) levels will get the ranking points into the 2024 WPC SERIES RACE.

This is the calculation of the points based on the tournament tier levels:

Tier level 3:

• Each win in the group match - 300 points
• Each win in the playoff (elimination) - 450 points
• Extra bonus points:
• 1st place - 1200 points
• 2nd place - 600 points
• 3rd place - 300 points
• 4th place - 150 points.

Tier level 4:

• Each win in the group match - 400 points
• Each win in the playoff (elimination) - 600 points
• Extra bonus points:
• 1st place - 1600 points
• 2nd place - 800 points
• 3rd place - 400 points
• 4th place - 200 points

Tier level 5:

• Each win in the group match - 500 points
• Each win in the playoff (elimination) - 750 points
• Extra bonus points:
• 1st place - 2000 points
• 2nd place - 1000 points
• 3rd place - 500 points
• 4th place - 250 points
